Horse.-;.—At the Durham Yards on Friday last we hud a large muster, but the demand was not up to the previous week. We quote :—Heavy ! draughts, from £2O to £3B 15s; Imedium do., £l<J to £l3 10s; light ! harness horses, £6 10s to £2O 10s; hacks £6 10s to£l3 15s ; sulky £lO 10s ;, dog-cart, £lB. The racing pony Sentinel realised 31 guineas. At Papakura on Wednesday there was a large .muster of stock for the time of the year, but prices rul;d lower than for many months for all classes of stock, with the exception of dairy cows close t u calving. We quote : —Dairy lows, £1 10s to £lO os; backward do., £3 10s to £1 17s (id ; empty (Jo., £1 7s Od to £2 18s; grown steero, £5 to £5 17s ; two to two and a-duilf year-old do., £2 2s («1 to £3 10s ; calves, 37s to £1 Is.
Cattle—At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday dairy and store stock were penned in usual numbers, ami sold at late rates. There was it j'ull muster of beef. Ox beef sold up to ,23s per 1001b; cow, 17s to 21si. Steers sold from £6 5s t 0 £lO 17 S (id ; cows,£4 10s to £B, Dairy cows sold from £4 10s to £8 15s ; empty do., £1 lis to £3 4s; calves, 12s Gd to £1 Is.
Sheep.—At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday sheep were yarded in scarcely average numbers, and the prices improved. We quote Wethers, from 13s 6d to £1 3s &d ; ewes 12s to £la 0s 9d ; lambs 1 , first quality 10s 6d to 18s; other sorts 7s (5d to 10g.
Pigs.—ln full supply. Porkers sold front 15s to £l 19s ; weaners, 3s 6d to lis.
"At the clearing sale of live and doad stock held on account of Mr D Hutchinson at Pukekoho there was a large attendance and, wfth the exception of the store cattle, verv satisfactory prices were realised. Dairy cows sold from £4 10s to £b 7s 6d - empty do., £3 10s to £5 ; heifers, £1 17s to £2 ; farm horsesi, £3l 10s to £39. An unbroken, two-year-old draught filly, £33 ; a 'lliorne roadster, £2O 10s ; Cambridge roller, £l4 10s ; were some of the prices realised

GRAIN REPORT. WELLINGTON, Slav 10. Mr F. I'onnall, of the N.Z. and Canterlniry Farmers' Co-op. Assn., Wellington, reports as follows, all quotations being f.0.b., port of shipment, -sacks extra, unless specified. Oats. Southland are pivparing to test Home market with extensive shipments in preference to accepting Eastern limits, quality of this season s grain fully warranting. Limited supplies further north arc finding quittance readily -for inland trad© at late advance, B grade Danish realising Is Bd, Gartons Is 9d, S-Hills Waverley, and Hoseberv is 9£d Duns and Tartars Is lOjd, Canadians Is lid, Algerians 2s SU.
Wheat.—Surplusage of grain, seeking clearance, is causing vendors difficulty in discriminating between feed and milling, values now running almost parallel. Homo reports are steady, thoufeh likely; to woaken, wHhi heavy Australian cargoes afloat offering under ruling rates. Velvet and Tuscan list at 3s, Hunters 2s lid, G.-W, feed 2a.10d, seconds 2s Gd I PotatoeSj—Clean districts are giving better results than anticipated, blues coming in freely at £5 10s s.i.
