A cadet named Samuel Richards, employed at the Government railway station, Thorndon, Ml between tho railway platform and an incoming train from Lower llutt, on Tuesday night. He was dragged a distance of about ten feet, but fortunately escaped with nothing worse than a few bruises and a nasty wound on one of his knees. Richards' parents reside at New Ply mouth.
