A WEEK'S EGG-LAYING.
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 9. The statement for the first woek of the Utility Poultry Club's egglaying competition at Lincoln College shows that the total number of eggs laid was 170, averaging 4.G per cent. Mr R. E. M. Evans' Silver Wyandottes lead with oighteen eggs, weighimr lib 14}ozs. Mr John Tindall's Silver AVyandotles and Mr A. M. Price's Ruff Orpingtons, and Mr George Rollinson's Block Orpingtons each laid 17 eggs. No eggs were laid by the fowls in seventeen pens.
