FOOTBALL.
TAHANAKI UUGIIY UNION. A meeting of the uianageuicnt committee of the Hug-by Union was held on Friday evening at Stratford. Air C. Young was appointed sole selector of the Taranaki representative team in place of Mr Sjiue, resigned. The N.Z.H.U. slated they were unable to mako special arrangements for Ntjjv Zcalanders wishing to truvel Home with the New Zealand team, l'ljey asked for a donation towards defraying the expense of the New Zealand team for Knglaud.—£lo was voted, and the TarnnaKi Union will itndenvour to arrange u tipcciul match between two clubs, the proceeds of which will be devote:! lo the same purpose. The committee regretted it could not grant the request of I*'. (.Ireenway to be allowed to play for Tuk'apa. It was resolved that this Union will bo pleased to meet a junior rep. team from Wuiiganui this season, and that next season the visit will be returned. It was resolved to ask the He ferees' Association to draw up a scale of charges lor submission to the Union in connection with the question of the payment of expenses. Messrs Buchanan, Hlaltery, and Skogland were appointed an executive for the ensuing season. The referees appointed by the llefcrees' Association were approved of with one exception. The following re-instutements were granted :—Ttikapa : Mcdrath, senior to Ist junior; Cunnell, Ist junior to 2nd junior. Stratford : .J. Collins, senior to Ist junior ; Clifton : 11. Matthews, H.
