A TEMPORARY EXTENSION. (Received May 6, 8.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 6. Mr JaS. Mills, general manager oil tho Union Steam Ship Company, was a passenger to New Zealand by the iMoeruki this evening. He has not succeeded iu arranging with the Federal Government for.the continuation of the Vancouver service beyond its temporary extension for throe months.
