TONGAN TREATY RIGHTS.

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 28

I King George of Tonga, interviewed jin reference to the telegram from Wellington with regard to Mr Hunt's | proposal that Tonga should enter into treaties with other Powers beside Great Britain, remarked that the suggestion was nonsensical as well as impossible. Mr ftunt interviewed him in Wellington and was given absolutely no encouragement .(or believing that the King favoured that course.
