SALE OF THOROUGHBREDS,

There was a fair attendance at the horse bazaar this morning, whon the Kclburn Lodge yearlings and a, number of other thoroughbreds' were submitted to auction. Many wellknown sportsmen were present at the 40.1 c. Bidding was painfully alow, and the majority of the lots offered were passed in. The yearlings sold ranged in price from 10 to 50 guineas. The sale of some of Mr G. G. Stead's thoroughbreds took place in the afternoon. Vranus was knocked down to Mr J. C. N. Grigg for 170gns ; largesse to Mr G. G. P. Palmer for loOgns; the champion colt Machine Gun started at JJOOgns., and at STu was sold to Messrs Nettlefohl and Solomon. The imported mare Fan Tan was solid to Mr J. C. N. Grigg for 100 guineas.
