C.J.C. AUTUMN MEETIXfT. SECOXD DAY -RESULTS. CHIUSTCHURCH, April 23. The weather was unfavourable for the second day of the Canterbury Jockey Club's autumn meeting. It was dullund threatening during the early part of the afternoon, and after the lifth raco a thick drliwle set in. The attendance was only mod*erate. Totalisator investments wcr<i £7942, making a total of £19,784 for the meeting, as against £28,671 last year. The racing was very interesting, the llniah between Vladimir and Quurrymun in the Au tumn Handicap being wry exciting. Backers of Machine Gun and Vladimir on the double machine received i£6o 18b 6d each. Results':-
