Lane's Emulsion
Is not a patent medicine. Its ingredients are known to all—physicians and the public alike. Norwegian Cod Liver Oil, Beechwood Creasote, Fresh Eggs, and Hypophosphites of Lime and Soda. Possibly the finest healing and strengthening medicinefood that has ever been brought together in one bottle. The method of combining these ingredients—the way they are emulsified —is the one secret retained by the originator and manu- , facturer. The facts that it can be taken by grand-parent, parent, youth or child; that it is of unvarying quality—i always the best emulsion possible—and that it can be taken for any length of time •without acquiring any drug habit stand markedly in its favour. Lane's Emulsion strengthens the blood. ' It makes appetite, and builds up the constitution. Together with fresh air it is, possibly, the greatest and grandest lung-healer known to medical science. Keep Lane's in the home, and at the first sign of a cough or cold take it until all symp- , toms have completely gone. LANE'sEmulSion at chemists j and stores, 2/6 and 4/6 per bottle. <*■ * us

I A remarkable instance* of pluck and andurance of pain on the part of a. boy (says the Sydney UaUy Telegraph), conies from Singleton. A son of Mr George Wellaivl, of Hlennie's Creek, aged 12 years, was thrown from a horse, which also fell, the animal putting his foot in a hole. The weight of the horse broke the young rider's right thigh. .The horse continued to lie upon the boy, who though in great agony reached for his whip on the ground, and flogged the animal till it struggled up and left the rider free:. The boy was two miles from hoiqe with a broken thigh, but his nerves and wits were with him. He called to the horse, and ■with a great effort hoisted himself up anil threw his broEcn right leg over the saddle, the task almost causing him to faint. The hoy steered the horse for home, and when within half-a-mile from there called for assistance, his father answering the call. His shockiNl father lifted his son off the saddle and put him .to bed, where ho read an illustrated paper until the arrival of tim doctor..
