"THE GENERAL"
APPEARS IX CiOOD HEALTH. (Per Press Association.) IXVKIU'AHGILL, April 17. General Booth, founder and head of the Salvation Army, arrived at the Bluff this morning from Melbourne, and was received at Jnvercargi.il by the officers of the Army and about two hundred citizens. Mr Scandrclt (the Mayor) extended a hearty welcome to the General. To-morrow afternoon the General will address a meeting in the First Church, and in the evening will lecture on the "Past, Present, and Future of the Salvation Army." Notwithstanding that ho has come off a long voyage, and his advanced years*, the General appeared to be in good health, and seems ipiite equal to the programme of meetings he has arranged to 'address in the principal cities of the colony.
