MASTERTON R.C. AUTUMN MEETING. SCUATCHINGS. MASTERTON. April 12. Hindoo, Spoil, and Kungurawa arc scratched for all engagements at the Masttrton autumn meeting, and Maniopoto for the Telegraph ' Hack Handicap.

ANTICIPATIONS BY "MOTI'ROA." Tho Mastcrton Racing Club will hold their autumn meeting to-day and to-morrow. Notwithstanding tho amount of racing to lake place next week, the club have received splendid acceptances, and should have a very successful gathering, both financially and' from a sporting point of view.

The Hack Hurdles is the first event on the card. Lull possesses a good chance on his Stratford running. Wind is very con.sit.teuL. Guelder Rose made his first appearance over tho battens at the Horowhcnua meeting last month. He fall the first day, but was successful the second day in a field of seven. Bounce is another one new at the gumc If he can ncgotiato his obstacles all right he will boat more than beat him, as he is endowed with a fair turn of speed. To sum up the situation I shall place : Lull 1, Wind 2. Guelder Rose 3.

A large Held of seventeen have paid up for the Maiden Hack, seven furlongs, a difficult problem to solve, as most of those engaged ore unknown quantities. Amaryllis was responsible for some good track work at Wnnganui last month. The placing of the judge may be : Amaryllis 1, Sir Percivale 2, Te Konul 3. The champion hack, Mauiopoto, has the steadier of lOst 01t> In the Masterlon Hack, one mile, and Maui, Hoyal Blue, and Bonnie Prince have all shown form lately. The top weight scored easily each start at Wellington, and he should have no difficulty in again catching tho judge's eye. Tho other place-getters may bo Maui and Royal Blue. A field of 12 figure in the Waipipi Cup, one mile and a quarter, for which I fancy : Gold Crown 1, Wuitoa 2, Nonecn 8,

In the Telegraph Hack, six furlongs, Maui, St. ' Bill, 'or Mutukokiri may Iro the place getters.

The Ladies' Bracelet, one mile and a quarter, may result in l-'ancywork 1, Leader 2, Amaryllis 8. The April Handicap, seven furlongs, looks open, and should be a good race between Gold Crown, Wet Reef, Konten, Ziska, and Polyanthus. To separate them I will give my vote to Noneen 1, Gold Crown 2, Wet Heef 8. In the last item, the Dash Hack, live furlongs, I fancy Montague, Aotea, St. Bill, and Eone, and one of these may succeed. The former showed he could gallop at the Stratford meeting last month, running second to St. Bill in a field of twenty starters.

Acceptances and general entries closo on Monday for events advertis. Ed to-day in connection with the Patea Racing Club's annual meeting on Easter Mjpuday.

Nominations for Hawkc's Bay Jockey Cluff autumn meeting arc due tomorrow.
