life Customs returns for the quarter ending on March 81 show a very satisfactory improvement on the corresponding period of last year, there be.ing an increase in .the Customs receipts of £2l<>S. The total general tariff collected was £170,821. and preferential £:MUB, making a -total of £173,820. 'Hie excise duty umotmUd to £129 during the month ending March 25.
