George's team of four, viz., Paritutu, Durable, Mataura, and Chola, which lends additional local interest to the gatherthe Avondale Handicap have teen nominated for the A.R.C. Easter Handicap.

Proceedings were Instituted by Cooksley and Harris against Johnson and Sons for the recovery l/V'! 0 ' Counsc ' 'or defence had 11 nons " it ' and in doing so alleged that defendants had produced their book as the result of independent work. He contended that itj had been shown from plaintiffs' case that H was possible to produce work similar to that of plaintiffs, and of fair accuracy, and that therefore thcreforo there was no copyright in plaintiffs' book. His Worship upheld plaintiffs counsel's contention that a prima facie case of infringement hod be?n nitudu out, and rafuired an answer from defendants.
