(Received Aprii 3, 1 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 2. Torrential rain has fallen in the coastal districts. The strong easterly gale continues, interfering considerably with telegraphic service. SYDNEY SUBURBS FLOODED. (Received April 3, 1.8 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 3. Large areas at Marrictvilie, Glebe and other low-lying suimnbs were flooded, und many of the residents were forced to leave their homos and seek shelter.
