Cambridge spurted gamely, and were half a length closer afc Hammersmith bridge, but the stern chase upset tho Cambridge crew, who did not approach practice form. The Oxford 1 boat, which was finely stroked, led by four lengths at Barnes, and finished strongly. Cambridge collapsed. The time was 20min 35sec. No ' 'Australian Vas included in either 1 crew. S. M.
