SYDNEY, March 27. At the annual meeting of the Citizens' Life Assurance Company, the report, unanimously adopted, showed that new assurances' for over one million pounds were completed in the ordinary' branch, and that the funds at Dec. 31 last amounted to £l.34f>. 606, an increase for the year of £201,346. The income increased dur ing the year by £440,986. Considerable savings were, effected in working expenses, the industrial branch alone showing eight per cent, for the vcar, and thirteen per cent, for thi last two years. The ordinary -.branch expense rate is 13 per cent., and the combined expense rat«-ordinar> and industrial—27 per cent, on the total income. The valuation report shows a surplus of £57,710, which will provide revisionary bonus cs to policyholders varying from ■ £2 15s to £1 5s per cent. The re- ■*■ tiring directors were re-elecled.
