Shortage of Water.
At the Borough Council meeting on Monday night the engineer rerf commended that steps be taken to curtail the present lavish use of tho town water. The river was exceedingly low, and unless some rain occurred within the next few days hj« would be obliged to cut off one of the pumps, ns sufficient wulor would not como down the race to drive Uw two, turbines, He recouunendud that the use of garden hoses should to* immediately stopped, that the watrat) should be cut off where leaky tapi occur, and that flushing down should be reduced to a minimum.
