The Taianaki County Council wrote with reference to u culvert proposed lo be put down in Waircka Koad. Forty-four feet of (i-inch- pipe would be rctifiiii-ed>, but us the largest portion oi! the surface water would come from the Hoard's district, the letter stated, the Council would put the culvert down ii the Hoard would pay half the cost.

After discussion 'it was decided to reply that as the water came from the Council's roads it was their duty to put a culwr't down at their own expense. A letter was read from the VulueH General asking the Hoard to forward the valuation roll now in

their hands to' him for correction not liter than March 31.—Referred to the secretary.
