Tile Land Commission was engaged to-day tnk'ing evidence in the city, Mr Donald Keid, near., formerly , head of the Provincial OoVemnont and Colonial Minister for Lands. gave evidence at Koine length. He in a strong freeholder,, and cannot connot conceive of any country getting the best out u|i its kind under any other system. A nominated Land Board was the l:wt, as the MiniWer, had the chance of putting in really good men. There was far too much reference to the Minister ; thin van bad for a client who was not of the i -lent, colour. Il e did not think thtra was aggregation of estates.
