At the I'olice Court on Monday, before Mr T. Hutchison, 8.M., ft young man named William Wilooa was charged with having on Feb. 1, at Island Hay, Wellington, stolen a sot of harness valued at £l4, tbe property of Hannah MuflH—l»|» Tbu accused was arrested on Satur-. day evening at the post office corner whore his inquiry for letter* for * person by tbe name of "Scott" was interrupted by pressing buslnew on tlie jinrt of Detective Menjamin, who hud been on the lookout all day'tor hip man "wantod" on warrant. Accused was remanded to appear at Wellington on Wednesday. *
