Provided the the Council consented he (the foreman) would do all in his power to insist on Messrs Bcwley and Griffiths obtaining ihe attendance of the Fire Brigade, and also having the place burned at a perfectly satisfactory and safe time. The nearest building to live condemned cottage was across the street in both directions. The old cottage at the corner of; Cover and Gilbert Streets should be [lulled down and destroyed out of town, it being too close to oilier dwellings' to have it burned-.
