VESSEL UNINJ UK ED. VOYAGE RESUMED. (Received March 11, 0.32 a.m.) MELBOURNE, March 10. At the Marino Hoard inquiry into the Warrimoo tire the senior marine ' surveyor reported that the decks and hull had sustained .110 injury c x-I cept the buckling of one plate, and ! the slight charring of a small surface between decks. The Government inspector of explosives gave evidence of a careful examination of the seat of the (ire, which showed it consisted of a bale of paper clippings in immediate proximity to cases of kerosene. IL originated in one of the paper bales which was immediately under the ventilator. There was no evidence of spontaneous combustion. His opinion was that the tire was communicated to the bale either by a lighted match or ashes of a pipe, thrown down the ventilator. The matter is referred to the Nautical Expert Committee to report.
