THE GOVERNOR NARROWLY ESCAPES ACCIDENT.
(Per Press Association.) CHUISTCHrUCH, March <*. The Governor and his suite narescaped a serious accident to-. flight, when visiting the performance df the "Mikado," -by the t.'hristrhurch amateurs. His Kxcellency's horses t«>k fright, and after the carriage hacrtwo narrow escapes of upsetting the horses pulled in on to a vacant section where! some bystanders secured the frightened animal. The Governor and party escaped undamaged, and the coachman sustainid sonic bruises.
