The Stork is the largest vessel owned by the Hudson Bav Company who have always had a boat of this kind to make the annual expedition for their produce. Singularly enough the Stork was bought to take the place of the Lady Head, which was wrecked under, sin- . gular circumstances last year, on which occasion over £lO/000 worth of furs was lost. The I.ady Head, horn.war,] hound from James Boy, ran on tJasket Shoal two days after leaving, and for liiorv than a week tile captain and crew remained l>y her endeavouring to get her off the reef. Then when she began to go to pieces they took to the boats, and after three days' perilous jaurney in a temperature which was for the greater part of the time In-low zero, they arrived at Moose Factory, one of the inost j.important stations of the Hudson May Company.
