LABOUR LEAGUE PLATFORM.

Mr Phillips thought the platform was a deliberate slap at the present Government, to which the workers owed a very great fleal. and he advised that "the matter be very cautiously dealt with, if at all. Mr Staitery moved, ami Mr Phillips tacondol, v That consideration of the programiue be again deiVnv;! for a fortnight." | Mr l>anthrean considered thai too many leagues had been formed, and that they were doing more harm than good. Mr Coombesl moved as an amendment " That the platform lie on the. table indefinitely." Mr lhvnt hrran seconded, both speakers agreeing that the unions should not permit themselves to be bound by the platform of any league. It was ultimately decided to defer consideration of the platform for ims uiontli.
