ANNUAL MEETING OF DELEGATES. Tl«; annual meeting of delegates of the Independent Order of Oddfellows of the Taranaki District was held nt the Oddfellows' Hall, Manaia, on the 2nd inst. There were present : P.G.M., Dro. F. Amoore "(Elthaiii) ; D.G.M., Bro. O. H. McGahcv (New Plymouth) ; P.C.S., C. E. Bellringcr (New I'lymouUi) ; U.W., A. W. Hooker (New Plymouth)'; Bros. H. Ainsworth, O. E. Sole, L. Webster, G. Lovoridgc, Loyal Egmont Ijodge, Now Plymouth ; ißros. F. Pepperoll, W. J. Clcland, A. Brown, Loyal Excelsior Lodge ; F. .S»fuirc, J. Mdloliliio, J. Hicks, .'Loyal Union Lodge, Hawera ; Bro. F. Brabant, Wajlara ; Bro. C. 1). Sole, Stratford ; Bros. F. 0. Stanncrs, F. Hardy, Kit ham j Bro. McAssey, Toko ; Bros. E. H. Jones, F. T. McCarthy, Mnnaiu ; Bros. It. Hancock, E. Dickinson, Midhirst ; Bro. F. Oliver, Kaponpa. The report and balance-sheet—vol-uminous documents—were read and adopted. The financial position of the district was reported to Ihj as follows :—Sick and Funeral Fund of lodges/ £15,84&; District Funeral Fund, £527 ; Modioli Management Fund (lodges), £264 ; district, £4O ; Benevolent Fund, £SO ; Cot Fund, £23 ; Hall Fund. £157 ;■ totaiT £1«. 916, being an incrcaso of £l.llß on last year's position. The Loyal Manaia Lodge was reported to be very strong financially. In respect of the Loyal Kaponga Lodge, 'the report stated :—" The youngest of our lodges has made fair progress during the year, and now numbers 23 members. The future pron|xxts for the future are good, and! we have no floubt "the lodge will grow in usefulness and I numbers." District officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows :—I'.D, G.M., Bro. G. H. McGahcy ; I'.G.M., I Bro. J. M. ltobbic ; Warden and An-; ditor, Bro. W. Hooker ; Secretary, Bro. C. E. Bellringcr ; Assistant Sec-! retary, Bro. It. Hancock. [ It was reported that a new lodge was to bo opened at Te Kiri on the 20th inst, Itro. F. Amoore was presented with a jewel for his past services as ! I'.G.M. New Plymouth was fixed as the place at which to hold the next dis-> trict meeting. The arrangements in connection with the District Oddfellows' annual \ picnic were left Sn the hands of the i executive.—Warmato Witness.
