| The -Mayor (Mr It. Cock) left by; this afternoon's train for Wellington. His visit to tho capital will extend over three or four days'. [ Mr E. M. Smith,, M.H.R.', has received a communication from Mr J. Hayes, the Government Inspecting Engineer, announcing that in compa ny with Dr. Bell, Government [Geologist, he will be in New I'lyI mouth this evening, and will put up at the Criterion Hotel.
