AN INDIGNATION MEETING AT MOSS, DKY WEATHEH ON THE WEST COAST. (Per Press Association.) HOIvITIKA, Fell. 20. The ltorough Council cons idem] this evening an exhaustive report by Mr Leslie 11. Heynolds, C.E., on a water supply scheme, the cost of which is estimated at about £llOO. The council decided to visit the proposed sourco of the water supply on Wednesday, and will then deal with the report.
An indignation meeting was held at Koss 011 .Saturday to protest agaiiist tluji-lelax in 1 lib construction of tho railway, from Hokitika lo Hoss. It was stated that at the present rate of progress it will take another live years to complete a line of 15 utiles. Owing to the long spell • of dry weather the mining community has been idle for several weeks.
