The usual monthly meeting of the ISourd wus held on Monday.. l'rci sent : Messrs Tisch (Chairman), Iturgess, Andrews, lirown, Murley. , | A precis of the proceedings at the | conference between reproientatives of .| the Hoard and the Stratford Hoard I relative to Uie adjustment of acI counts between the two bodies was ( l'ead. The Chairman also gave a . full explanation of the contentions of 'both' partes, and stated that in the absence of an agreement being arrived at tho matter had been refer-, red to the Auditor-General. Mr Andrews moved, and Mr Murlev seconded, that the action of the Hoard's representatives be confirmed. —Carried. -I The House Committee reported I having appointed Mr and Mrs Wad.s- ---' worth 'gardener and laundress, respectively.—Action confirmed. I Correspondence was read from contributing bodies forwarding amounts due. The Stratford County Council intimated that, Iwing in doubt whether they were liable to the Board |or to the Stratford Board for contributions after October lasf., t-hev ( they had wnitten to the AuditorGeneral on tho point. Several cases of rejief were dealt with.

The Clerk" pointed out that .according to the conditions in the lease from the School Commissioners the home was bound to be insured in the office for which the Secretary of tile Commissioners was agent. It was decided that Mr Russell be informed that when the present poli-
