Fitzroy Bowling Club.

I The Fitzroy Bowling and Tenuis Club have, since the opening day, been well patronised by bowlers, and some interesting games have ■U'en played on the green. The ladicu are taking a .great interest in the I welfare of the members, and regale the players with afternoon tea on Thursdays ans Saturdays. The tennis is fairjly well patronised by the ladies, and, as it is an asphalt court, tennis will be played all through the winter. ' Uegaiding howls it has been decided to have a beginners' match for those who have never played bowls before, and a championship match for the whole club. On Saturday the following were drawn for the beginners' match, the first round for which, weather permittting, is to be concluded on Saturday, February 25th :—Searle v. Griffiths, Sole v. Barry, Cliff v. Johnson, rikett v. Gray, Smith y. J ones;, Kee v. llumphiies, Steele v. Uinnie, Jackson v. Fowler, Tisoh v. Footo, Bkejltou v. Kibby, | For the championship :—Dempsey v. :Sole, Johnson v. Pikott, Hill v. [Kee, Steele v. Esoa, berry v. Humphries, Griffiths v. Smith, Gray v. .Cattl'ey, Uinnie v. Jones, Cliff v. [Searle, Bum'.;ide v. Skellon, Tisch v. |Foote, Jackson v. FowVer, Kibby a [bye. The first round is tube completed Saturday March 4th.
