The question of ' he l forination of a Town Hoard by residents of Tauiuarunui was dealt with. Owing to Tauiuarunui having been gazetted u Maori kainga, European living there ore placed at a dig* advantage in regard to the Improvement of the place from a sanitary standpoint. The necessity of providing schools for the children of settlers al Te Kuili, Apururu, Mairoa, Muungurim, and Maitere was also urg**l on the Minister. Theso matters, the uienilier was assured, were receiving attention. Other claims dealing with the Itohae Potao (and interests both of European and i Maori were promised consld-ration by Ministers.
