At the meeting of the Conciliation Hoard to-day it was intimated that the dispute in the furniture luul been amicably settled at a conference of «mployers and the union, and the board was nsked to incorporate the it'sult. in an indus-trial agreement. The Chairman of the board complimented the parties on the good feeling shown in so settling the matter, and added that the moral effect of this result would be undoubtedly felt in country districts, in which the board had now to take cases.
