The average price of New Zealand lamb is from 4jd to sd, River Plate 4|d. k The beef market is very dull. The average price to-day of hindquarters J New Zealand beef is 3id, forcquartcrs ,„ 2jd. Stocks of New Zealand beef on . hand are light. Butter.—The market is very firm, " and there is good demand. The avj crage price of choicest New Zealand ™ butter to-day is 102s pur cwt. The cheese market is firm. The average price of finest New Zealand . cheese to-day is 52s per cwt. IT Hemp.—-Market °. uio t. with a tendency in favour of buyers. The price of New Zealand hemp, good fair Wellington grade, on spot to-day, is £3l per ton, February to April shipment £3O 10s. The wool market is quiet and manufacturers are disinclined to operate at present prices. There was a largo attendance of buyers.
