He had al- ~ ways tried to do his best, and it t had been , a pleasure to him to try and bring New I'lyniouth, and especially Taranaki, to the front. Thai was his idea in forwarding the rej cent exhibition. His whole stake was in the district, and he hoped tc remain here all his life. In concluy sion he thanked Cr. Collis for tin; kind expressions he had used in making tho presentation. (Applause.)
