THE BAKERS' CONFERENCE.

DUNEDIN, Feb. 3. The Rakers' Conference to-day adopted the prices now ruling in Dunodin as the standard, and recommended other centres to adopt same.

A requisition was brought forward from, Auckland to request millers when increasing the price of flour to do so in stated rises of pounds instead of by fis or 10s. Tho president s)aid the association could not enter into anything in connection .with other trades. A motion was also brought forward advocating the payment of wages by the hour instead of /by the week. The president and others thought the suggestion impracticable. The question of contribution to the association was discussed, and a notice of motion for to-morrow was given.
