CHEAT INCREASE IN PRICES. PALMERSTON N.. Feb. 3. The Manawatu Ham Fair was concluded toKlay, when a large number ofLincolns and Itomneys were offered and found ready sales. Trices for both breeds went io a nearly double Hie amounts realised at last year's fairj Flock "Lincolns that averaged 2> guineas last year sold numerousl.x to-day at 5 and readily up to CJ guineas. Similar advances were met within 41omneys, the majority of the entries selling freely at 4$ to 4 J guineas. The highest price was (>j guineas. Stud Lincolns also realised 11$ and 17J guineas, whilst 18j guineas was paid for stud Romuoys. A prizewinning ram of the laat»named breed changed hands at 45 guineas. The demand for heavy woolled sheep is considered exceptional.
