President Roosmlt on Divorce. (Received Jan. 81, 9.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 31. President Roosevelt, in his message to Congress, states that there is a widespread conviction that in some of the States of the UDion thi(i divorce laws are dangerously lax, resulting in a diminishing regard for the sanctity of marriage, and expresses hopes that the States will co-operate to secure uniform divorce laws safeguarding family life. The President concludes his remarks by advising the collection of statistics on the subject.
