The annual conference of Political Labour Leagues, including ten lady delegatus, opened to-day. In the course of his address the president urged the necessity for further reforms in the interests of the people, and said the hospitals were crowded with all sorts of new diseases. The development of these was largely dim to the adulteration of food ami liquor, and certain patent medicjnes, During the last ten years forty-two thousand chi:drcn under one year had died in Sow South Wales, whiuh could not ufford such a loss of population.
