ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
(I'er Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 26. John Munro, an elderly resident of Kyber Pass, .owesl his life to a tram lifeguand. Ho walked straight in front of a tramcar while avoiding a cart. The car was going at n rapid pace. lfc was carried several yards before the car was stopped. The lifeguard fortunately acted, and Munro escaped wiith severe cuts and bruises. DUNEDIN, Jan, 20. Thomas Trudgoon, u miner, who was admitted to the hospital suffering from ptomaine poisoning, died to-night.
