A TEMPORARY LULL.
DOES NOT REASSURE THE PIULIC. St. PETERSBURG, Jan. 24. It is officially stated that there were no collisions between the troops and the crowds on Monday, and no one was killed or wounded. There was some pillaging and win-dow-breaking, but order was quickly „ restored. The night was quiet in St. Petersburg, ami there is no excitement today. Thousands are idling in thostreets but the! military do not interfere, except 'to keep traffic clear. However, the -temporary lull has reassured nobody.
