AN EXPERT'S OPINION. Bad Time Coming For Japan. LONDON, Jan. 20. Cojpnel Gadke, a German military expert writer, writing to the Standard, considers that by the end of January General Kuropalkin will have .at his disposal 340 battalions, against 268 Japanese. He thinks General Kuropntkin may try to turn the Japanese right; flank and cut them off from Korea, driving them to Taku and Liao-tung.
