ROZHDESTVENSKY'S ORDERS
TO CRUISE THE INDIAN OCEAN. And Beware of Japanese. (Received Jan. 22, 4.36 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 21. Admiral Hozhdcstvensky will cruise about the Indian Ocean. The Admiral has been ordered to avoid tl.e East Indian Archipelago and Japanese cruisers. The Times says that from trustworthy information it is clear that Hozhdcstvensky will remain in the Indian Ocean at least three months, and the Times ; urges the Admiralty to protect the Chagos Archipelago, south of the Maldives. THE JAPANESE WATCHERS. IN THE STRAITS OF MALACCA. (Received Jan. 21!, 0.50 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 22. Four Japanese warships have been sighted forty miles north of l'enang, in thj Straits of Malacca.
