Wedding Bells.
MESSENGEK.-HESLOF. On Wednesday, January 11, 1905, the marriage took place, at Te Hcnui Church, of Mr Charles Frederick Messenger, fifth son of Lieute-nant-Colonel Messenger,, of Knrori, I Wellington, and Miss 1:1 a Maud Hesllop, thirdi daughter o,f Mr William Heslop, of Smart Itoad, New Plymouth (late of Oamaranui, Hawke's •Bay), The Hev. G. W. Pent, of |Waitara, ofliciated. The bride looked charming in a neat travelling -dress of 'grey, while the 'bridesmaids, the Misses Flora Hcs|!op and M. Messenger, were attired an pale blue, with ilargo hats trimmed with forget-me-no'tl.; The ceremony took place at 1.30 p.m., an'd was followed by a rccoptaon at the residence of the bride's parents', at Smart Koad. A nico repast awaited the guests, the three tier wedding cake in the centre being much admired. The l usual toast, "Health of the bride and bridegroom," was proposed in a neat and interesting speech by Mr Win, Heslop, and duly responded to. The " Bridesmaids " and other toasts were duly honoured and responded to by the company, Consisting o£ well-wishers from the surrounding districts and Hawke's Bay.. Justice having (jeon done to the good things on the Table, the numerous and beautiful presents to the bride were admired. These consisted pif silver-mounted jam dish from' Miss G.
