Wreckage, of what appeared to be the after part of a thousand ton steamer, was found in Windy Bay (Western Australia) on the extreme southern coast. There Is no clue to the name. Rogers, Thacker, and Barnctti. THE WEST OF ENGLAND CARGO SERVICE. Speaking to a press representative in Duncdin on the subject of the West of England cargo service, Sir J. G. Ward said :—'•The steamers aro going to Manchester every trip. That is being done voluntarily by the contractors, who, acting on the - advice of the department, have h a d the masts and funnels of the steamers shortened so as to enable the vessels to do this. I regard it as a very good thing for the colony. It is.what we have been trying to get for some time, and now we have got H without much difficulty, and without any cost-to us.-'
