LONDON, Jan. 0. (Received Jan. 5, 11.5 p.m.) Ttte battleship Hero was discovered in a sinking condition at jl'oitsmonth, through the breaking ol a va'lvc. Seven hours' pumping ..was necessary to save the vessel.
I The Hero, built in 1885, is a third-class armoured battleship ol 6200 tons, 45001 i.p., carrying six 'guns, and has a speed of 15.2 knois. She is tender to JI.M.S. Excellent.
