Christmas Floods.

RAILWAY INTERRUPTED AT OTAKI, (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 19. The heaviest flood linown for years is running: in the Otaki River. There is a breach in the railway 'between the north •bank ami the Otaki station, about thirty chains in length. The down express was unable to pass this afternoon, and passengers had to romnin svt Otaki. The up train from Wellington is unable to pass, but it as hoped traffic will be restored to-morrow.
