THE OUTLOOK IN NEW SOUTH WALES. AN OPTIMISTIC PREMIER. (Received Dec, 20, 0.88 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 19. Speaking at the opening of the wool exhibition in the Royal Exchange, M» Carruthers, Premier, stated that he had received a report from the Government Statistician that morning showing that 1,600,000 acres und* wheat would yield 16,000,000 bushels, giving en exportajblo surplus of 6,000,000 bushels. With regard to sheep the ensuing season, he said, would show an increase of four million animals. The estimated clip this year is 230,080,000 pounds, valued at £7,512,000, an increase of 61,000,000 pounds in weight and about £2,000,000 in value compared with last year. lib announced his intention to place a. loan on the London market in January, which the Agjerot-Gonoral's advice showed was absolutely and already assured.
