Theatre Royal.

DIX'S 7 ENTERTAINERS. We are again to be favoured wifca a visit .by one of Mr P. R. Dix's cbmi<ainies from Uic Theatre Royal, Wellington. It might be asked, how it id possible for Mr Dix to send, us he does, an almost entirely, new combination on each visit to this diatfiot. The fact is, we understand, that there arrives by every Sydney steamer a coterie of new " turns," and this enables 'die ezttexprigjlg en* trepreneur to send out from headquarters practically a brand new show each time. Amongst the many promised attractions are the Cathedral , Choristers, f our bright lads, dressed in Eton suits, with fresh young voices, who render glees, part songs, madrigals, etc., in a manner only possible where voices have been throughly trained almost from babyhood. The Choristers are spoken of in the highest terms by the press of the colony, and are almost an "entertainment in themselves." Mr Les. Wartoo is a coop impersonator of the very, highest order, and an immense favourite throughout Australasia. Miss Lyla Thompson, described as a fascinating comedienne, bas a remarkably fine voice, and knows how to use that greatest of all gifts—a pure voice. Mr Geo. Warsaw is a young baritone vocalist of great promise, and has a rich and powerful voice. Mr Geo. Dickie, American vetttrilofluist, is a host in himself. The Wheelers enjoy a world-wide reputation as cyclists, and complete what certainly appears to be a very strong and versatile combinatio». They appear at the Theatre Royal on Friday the 9th insf.
