THE CASUAL VISITORS' POSITION IN HOTELS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Dec. H. At the Magistrate's Court to-d«y two men were charged under the new Licensing Act with being found in a hotel without reasonable excuse ■luring hours when such hotel was ■losed for the sale of liquor. They were seen to enter the hotel by a police constable, who followed them .rod in answer to his inquiries they said they were looking for somebody. The magistrate fined each of the defendants 10s, a low penalty being imposed as the act is not yet well understood.
