The Manawatu Flying Club's race from New Plymouth on Thursday resulted in a win for Mr Richard's Lilywhite, with a velocity of 1097 yards per minute. Mr Smith's Ensign was second. The Wellington) Homing Pigeon Society flew a race on Wednesday last from Stratford, an air-line measurement of 138 miles. Thirtythree birds, representing ten lofts,: competed. The race was won by W. Clark's Ambrota in Bhr 9min.
